TFC FINANCIAL HOLDINGS LTD APPOINTS NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
TFC Financial Holdings Limited, the holding company of the TFC Financial Group, has appointed Mr. Keith Davies as Non-Executive Director.

The TFC Financial Group of companies includes TFC Brokerage Limited, TFC Capital Limited, and TFC Corporate Services Limited.

Mr. Davies is domiciled in Manila, Philippines, where he has been actively involved in the development of TFC business. He is active throughout Asia, Australia, the Middle East and the United States where he has sourced institutional funding for TFC Group projects and has introduced a number of new clients to Group’s portfolio. Mr. Davies has been closely associated with TFC Group Chairman, David Sullivan, for more than fifteen years and a close business relationship exists, underpinned by mutual trust and understanding.

Mr. Davies grew up in “The Potteries”; the industrial heartland of England and, following his education there, he has held various managerial positions in the United Kingdom, the Middle East, Australia and Hong Kong. He has a background in structural engineering and has broad experience in the steel and construction industries. This has enabled him to develop a wide range of influential contacts and a keen understanding of these industries.

In addition to his industrial knowledge and experience, Mr. Davies has many years of experience in international trade, including management of manufacturing plants, trade practices, and structured trade and project finance.

In September 1996, Mr. Davies was appointed Deputy Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Golik Holdings Limited, a company listed on the Hong Kong stock exchange. In these roles he directed local, and international merger and acquisition activities and secured the participation of overseas partners in the growth of the Group’s business in the Peoples Republic of China. In 2003, he founded Hydro Swiss SA; a company dedicated to the development of small, community-based, hydropower systems as part of his interest in renewable energy. He is currently engaged in the rollout of a pan-Asian waste to energy business.

Mr. Davies is the Principal of Jetco Limited, a specialist boutique corporate finance “matchmaker” and advisory company. It is principally active in the ferrous metals business in the Peoples Republic of China, particularly in the steel wire industry.

Mr. Davies is fifty-one years of age, is married and has one child.

TFC SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETES SECOND TRANCHE FOR ZHENGZHOU ALUMINIUM
Trade Finance Corporation Limited (TFC) has successfully ensured the second tranche of eight figures USD pre-export financing for Henan, PRC based Zhengzhou Aluminium. This is the second tranche of a loan committed by a European bank lender last October, and despite market turmoil and restructuring of offtake agreements TFC ensured the second portion was drawn down in a timely fashion. It is a classic pre-export financing structure based on a 2 year offtake for aluminium foil for export to European markets. TFC acted as deal structuring agent and co-arranger with the lender.

TFC Capitalhas been further mandated to match make a strategic equity investor to enable technological upgrade and plant expansion.

TFC BROKERAGE TRYING TO GET OUT FROM UNDER THE BLANKET
TFCB has successfully completed several transactions this past couple of months but is concerned at the increasing polarisation between some insurers taking a blanket approach to industries such as metals and construction material. From a specialist market and professional viewpoint TFCB believes this compromises good opportunities to acquire quality quantified business and assist companies with a positive future especially where local fundamentals differ from major global trends.
