TFC BROKERAGE SUPPORTING THE TURN AROUND IN ASIA
TFC Brokerage continues to be integrally involved in the risk management procedures of financial institutions and corporates. We have recently created several credit and political risks mitigations; including a trading company involved in fisheries commodities where current credit lines and flexibilities from their current export credit agency were greatly improved by a private market carrier (in contradiction to much recent media reporting).
During a recent European trip, TFCB’s Managing Director, Mr. Mark Cooper was involved in the annual specialist trade credit and political risks insurance market review in London. A consensus view, from the attendees, indicated the worst of the economic crisis has yet to be seen. A combination of restrictive lending practices, increased regulation and increases in banking spreads will require the insurance industry to continue to play its part in enabling international trade.
Claims already paid in 2009 have clearly shown the importance and success of specialist insurers, bankers and intermediaries in the trade finance arena and TFCB looks forward to continue its central role within Asia trade and project finance.’
